Introduction

The glass electrode of Qiwei pH meter is used in the high temperature environment in the range of 0-80 degrees Celsius, and the measurement accuracy is 0.01pH. The glass electrode is suitable for use with portable pH meters and desktop pH meters, and the measurement range is 0~14pH. The glass electrode is used as the indicating electrode, and the calomel electrode is used as the reference electrode, and the pH value of the solution is expressed by the potential change between the two. Among the electrode types, there is also a plastic case electrode, but for a temperature environment above 60°C and below 80°C, it is recommended to use a glass electrode, which has high sensitivity.

Precautions for use

1. When using the glass electrode, it should be handled with care, and it should not be hit and collided, so as not to break the glass bulb of the glass electrode and cause the electrode to fail.

2. Clean the glass electrode in time after use, put it into a protective bottle and tighten the cap.

3. Before calibrating the electrode, it must be preheated for a period of time before calibrating.

4. Long-term use will reduce the slope and response speed of the electrode. First, the electrode bulb can be soaked in 0.1mol/L dilute HCl solution (preparation: 9ml HCl diluted to 100ml with deionized water) for 24 hours. Second, if the passivation is serious, soak the electrode ball in 4% HF solution (preparation: 4 mlHF diluted to 100ml with ionized water) for 3-5 seconds, wash with distilled water, then soak in electrode protection solution , allowing it to recover properly.
