        Instrument Introduction

        Available in a wide range of film widths and with extended edges to collect paint during the application process, the Elcometer 3580 is the lab's coat instrument.

        The film thickness can be adjusted from 0 to 6 mm and spanning 10 microns with two integrated fine adjustment knobs.

        3580 is recommended for coated sheets made of anodized aluminum, with bevel blades, when manually coating liquids of high concentration and viscosity on a solid and flat substrate.
