Rongda Ji LS falling sand wear Tester, also known as falling sand wear Tester and falling sand wear Tester, is designed and manufactured according to the standard ASTM D968-83 and JG/T 133-2000, and is used for testing under standard conditions The abrasion resistance of the organic coating is expressed by the amount of abrasion per unit film thickness. The length of the tube of the testing machine is 36 inches, and the measurement is stable and reliable.
Product principle
LS falling sand abrasion Tester tests the wear resistance of the coating by dropping the abrasive from a specific height onto the coated test plate through the catheter, until the ground material of the test plate is exposed, and expressing the test plate by the amount of abrasion per unit film thickness Abrasion resistance of the upper coating.
operation method
1. Test preparation
Prepare the test plate according to the standard requirements, and place it for 24 hours under the conditions of (23±2)°C and Relative Humidity (50±5)°C.
2. Calibrate the instrument:
1) Pour a certain amount of sand into the funnel, check the sand flow falling from the lower end of the conduit, and calibrate the device with the bottom adjustment screw until the inner core of the sand beam just falls on the center of the sand flow when observed from two positions at 90°C .
2) Use the height adjustment nut to adjust the distance from the pipe pipe to the painted surface.
3) According to the ASTM standard, when measured in the vertical direction, the nearest point is 1 inch (25mm), and the user needs to adjust according to the thickness of his own sample. The machine is pre-adjusted by 25mm when leaving the factory.
4) Pour in a certain volume of sand (preferably 2000+-10ml), and measure the outflow time. According to the ASTM standard, the outflow speed should be 2L within 21s-23.5s. When using international standard sand for testing, the measured speed is more than 7L per minute.
