This dynamic ultrasonic Thickness Gauge measures the thickness of metallic and non-metallic materials such as steel, aluminum, titanium, plastics, ceramics, glass, and any other ultrasonic conductor parallel to the upper and lower surfaces. 

With a known thickness or speed of sound, the UTG-2850 can accurately display imperial or metric readings with simple calibration.
