Introduction

ZHY automatic scratch meter is carefully designed and manufactured in MODERNER according to the relevant regulations in GB9279 "Scratch Test of Paints and Varnishes" and ISO 12137-2 "Determination of Scratch Resistance of Paints and Varnishes". ZHY automatic scratch meter adopts a large speed ratio and large output torque gear reduction box to ensure a constant moving speed of the scratching needle under different test loads, so that the test results have high accuracy. ZHY automatic scratch meter can currently perform tests on two substrates. One is to test the scratch resistance of paint and varnish water-based wood paint. The substrate is metal. Whether the paint film is scratched can be intuitively obtained through the indication of the voltmeter on the instrument. The other is to test For the scratch resistance of water-based wood paint, the substrate is wood. Whether the paint film is scratched or not is determined by observation with the naked eye or a magnifying glass.

Applications

The ZHY automatic scratch meter is used to determine the scratch resistance and scratch resistance of single coatings or composite coating systems of paints and varnishes or water-based wood paints under standard conditions.

The main structure

The automatic scratch meter uses a constant speed motor to drive the scratching needle to slide through gear and rack transmission, and the scratching needle is perpendicular to the paint film. The tip of the scratching needle is a hemispherical needle made of hard steel with a diameter of 1 mm.

There is a bracket above, and weights ranging from 50g to 2000g can be placed on the bracket as needed. There is a balance block at the rear of the bracket to balance the bracket automatically. The rotating shaft of the weight holder is supported by ball bearings, which rotates flexibly and reduces the friction moment, so that the pressure exerted on the tip of the diamond scribe needle has good repeatability, which ensures good repeatability of the test results.

The ZHY automatic scratch meter is equipped with a clamping mechanism for clamping the test plate. The rear part of the bracket is provided with a needle-lifting bolt used to lift the needle when the needle is reset.

There is a voltmeter on the panel of the ZHY automatic scratch meter. When the paint film on the sample is scratched through by the scratch needle, the voltmeter will indicate. This way, it can be determined with certainty whether the paint film has been scratched through, eliminating human errors.
