LENETA Form P121-A Calibration plate

Introduction

These are standard plates prepared by applying white latex paint to a black scrub test plate. The film is infinitely stable, and each type of panel is essentially the same. They are used as a control to measure scrub resistance to obtain a calibration grade that is standardized in laboratories using the same scrubbing method for wide variations that are frequently encountered for undefined reasons. The calibration grade is the performance of the paint panel tested, expressed as a percentage relative to the selected calibration panel.

Therefore: % Calibration Rating = Test Panel Cycle - Failure/Calibration Panel Cycle Failure x 100 

Letters indicating the type of calibration panel are attached to the calibration level, e.g. 125A, 65C, 95D, etc.
