1. Purpose:

The putty scraper is designed and manufactured according to the scraping method in GB1727 "General Preparation Method of Paint Film". The putty applicator is suitable for uniformly preparing putty coating film and thick paint coating film on various substrates (tinplate plate, steel plate, aluminum plate) for the purpose of measuring the general properties of the paint film.

2. Structure and Principle:

1. Structure:

The putty coating scraper is composed of a bottom plate, a film frame and a scraper. There are two fixing screws on the bottom plate to fix the film frame to prepare the coating film.

2. Principle:

After fixing the film frame on the bottom plate, scrape it with a scraper to make the test piece get a uniform putty film thickness. The standard template of the putty squeegee has three different thicknesses (1±0.05 0.7±0.035 0.5±0.03), which can be freely selected according to the product standard requirements. Due to the different components in the paint, when the wet film becomes the dry film, the formed dry film Thicknesses also vary, so this should be taken into account when choosing to use a standard thickness film frame.

3. Operation and usage:

1. Surface treatment of the bottom plate:

The tinplate or steel plate shall first be polished with No. 0 emery cloth or No. 200 water sandpaper with a board machine or manually reciprocating along the longitudinal direction to remove the tin layer, and then cleaned with a solvent (No. 200 paint solvent oil or xylene) and then wiped clean before use. The aluminum plate is cleaned with a solvent and wiped dry before use.

2. Put the test plate on the base of the putty scraper, select a standard film frame according to the putty thickness required by the product standard and place it on it, and then rotate the two compression screws respectively to compress the standard template.

3. Use a metal scraper to evenly apply the putty on the substrate from front to back to make it a flat putty coating film.

4. Loosen the compression nut, remove the standard template, and place the scraped putty sample flat on a constant temperature and humidity place or in a blast drying box to dry (drying conditions are specified in product standards). Constant temperature and humidity conditions: temperature 25±1 ℃, Relative Humidity 65±5%.

Four, maintenance and calibration, storage:

The instrument should be placed in a dry place to prevent corrosion and damage to the instrument.

When the instrument meets the storage conditions and is in normal use, if it is damaged, the "Three Guarantees" will be implemented, and the warranty will be free for one year.

5. Standard template:

Since the metal scraper is scratched on the standard template for a long time, it will be worn and the thickness will change, so please check the thickness of the standard film frame regularly. Clean with gasoline or solvent after use.
