Introduction

Scrubbing Resistance Tester, also known as Scrub Abrasion Resistance Tester is used to simulate daily wear and tear due to cleaning or daily use to test the resistance of paints, varnishes or coatings to scratches, abrasion and loss of color due to wet or dry abrasion. The test can be used as a "pass or fail" test by testing the specified number of strokes or by determining the minimum number of strokes for coating failure through periodic inspections. Scrubbing/washability testing is used to test the abrasion resistance and washability of coated panels to define the resistance of paints, varnishes or related products to scratches, abrasions, and fading due to wet or dry wear. Simulate wear and tear caused by daily cleaning or daily use. The test can be used as a "pass/fail" test by testing the specified number of strokes, or by determining the minimum number of strokes for coating failure through periodic inspections.
