Instrument Usage

YN-SLY16N microcomputer tear Tester is used to test the force required to tear a certain amount of pre-cut paper, the instrument uses an optical encoder to measure the angular position of the pendulum tear, and converts this test amount into tear units. It is suitable for the determination of tear degree of all kinds of paper, and can also be used for the tear strength testing of sheet composite materials such as low-strength cardboard, textiles, leather, films, etc., and is suitable for paper mills, scientific research institutions and quality inspection departments.

Operating Principle

The working principle of the paper tear Tester is: a stack of specimens (usually 4 layers) with a specified pre-incision, the pendulum is raised to a certain height so that it has a certain potential energy, when the pendulum is free to swing, the sample is torn apart by its own stored energy at a fixed distance, and the potential energy loss of the pendulum is used to measure the work done in the process of tearing the sample.
