Introduction
This instrument is used to determine the internal tear impedance or tear degree of paper and cardboard, and the working principle of the instrument is based on the work consumed to tear a certain length of the test sample, and in normal cases, 16 sheets of paper are stacked on top of each other for tear test. Therefore, the quotient obtained by dividing the total work expended to tear these papers by the product of the number of sheets of the torn specimen and the tearing distance is the force required to tear a specimen, expressed in grams. The instrument ruler and scale are engraved according to the condition that there are 16 tear specimens with a tear distance of 86 mm (the tear length of the specimen is 43 mm, and the tear distance is twice as long).
