This instrument has three angles of 20°45°75° or 20°60°75° for users to choose. The instrument adopts optical, mechanical, electrical integration and microcomputer measurement and control technology. It has the function of statistical processing of test data, can be printed out, and can measure the glossiness of various object surfaces.

The 75° gloss measurement method is mainly suitable for coated paper and cardboard, but can also be used for uncoated paper and cardboard or low printing gloss paper and cardboard printing samples;

The 20° glossiness measurement method is mainly suitable for high-gloss paper and cardboard such as cast-coated paper, waxed paper, and varnished paper. It is also suitable for high-gloss printing paper and cardboard samples and high-gloss ink paints, etc.;

The 45° gloss measurement method is mainly suitable for measuring aluminum foil paper, vacuum aluminized paper and other metal composite paper and cardboard;

The 60° gloss measurement method is mainly suitable for various papers, coatings, paints, etc.

GB/T 8941: Determination of specular gloss of paper and cardboard (20°45°75°);         

GB/T 9754: Determination of 20°, 60° and 75° specular gloss of paint and varnish films containing no metallic pigments;

ISO 2813: Determination of specular gloss of non-metallic paint films at 20°, 60° and 75° for paints and varnishes;
