JY-PHc Contact Angle Meter is used to measure the contact angle between solid, liquid and gas phases. By measuring the contact angle, calculate and measure the surface physical and chemical properties such as the adhesion of liquid to solid, the surface tension of solid and the surface energy of solid. The instrument is widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, medicine, papermaking, dyestuff and various new materials research and manufacture fields. Using computer technology, the ingested images are transferred to the computer for storage, analysis and printing. The speed is fast, the data is accurate, and the operation is convenient. 1. Automatic contact angle analysis
Using machine vision technology, the baseline and droplet contours are automatically identified, and the quadratic curve fitting calculation is performed based on the Laplace equation to obtain the contact angle value. The effect of gravity on the shape of the droplet is reduced, eliminating human testing errors. For pictures with obvious baseline features, automatic testing can be realized, and for pictures with inconspicuous baseline features, the baseline position needs to be manually specified.
2. Automatic surface tension analysis
Adopt the pendant drop test standard method in "SY-T 5370 Surface and Interfacial Tension Determination Method" for automatic drop contour recognition and automatic surface tension calculation.
3. Automatic sampling
The JY_PHc type adopts an automatic micro-sampler, which can be equipped with multiple micro-samplers, and the liquid can be replaced at any time; it is suitable for the scene where different liquids are often used to analyze the characteristics of the solid surface or the surface tension of different liquids is often tested. The injection precision is high, and it is convenient to replace the micro-sampler.
Test Methods
1. Static drip method
Drop a drop of liquid on the solid surface, take a picture of the equilibrium system after the solid-liquid-gas three-phase interface is balanced, and measure the contact angle through the contact angle measurement method provided by the software. It is also possible to take regular photos or videos of the balance process during the test, and then analyze the system change process.
2. Increase and decrease droplet method
Due to the inhomogeneity of the solid surface, it is sometimes necessary to measure the dynamic contact angle to analyze the hysteresis of the contact angle. This instrument can measure the advancing angle by continuously increasing the droplet volume or measure the receding angle by continuously reducing the droplet volume.
Contact Angle Analysis Method
Automatic analysis method: For most pictures, one-click result analysis can be realized, using computer vision analysis technology, quadratic curve fitting method, automatic measurement and calculation results. For a small number of pictures with inconspicuous baseline characteristics, a manual way to specify the baseline is provided and automatic measurement is performed. The display accuracy is 0.1°. The method basically overcomes the influence of gravity on the droplet shape, improves the test accuracy and eliminates human errors.
The tangent method is used to measure by manually drawing the baseline and the arc tangent, which is suitable for images with severe asymmetry and manual analysis, with a display accuracy of 0.1°.
The measurement method of the height measurement method, by drawing the circumscribed rectangle of the droplet, calculates the contact angle value geometrically, and the display accuracy of the contact angle value is 0.1°.
The measurement method of protractor method, by drawing a protractor, the contact angle measurement is realized. The display accuracy of the contact angle value is 0.1°.

Surface Tension Analysis Method
Using the pendant drop method to analyze the surface tension, the picture is automatically analyzed after taking pictures, and the analysis results are displayed in the form of a list.
Injector Control Mode
The sample injector adopts an automatic micro sample injector, which realizes automatic sample injection and sample withdrawal through computer control, and cooperates with video recording and timing camera functions to conveniently realize the dynamic contact angle test by increasing and decreasing droplet method.
Quantitative sampling function: click the button once to inject the specified quantity with an accuracy of 1uL.
Quantitative sample return function: click the button once to return the specified quantity of samples with an accuracy of 1uL. This function is used to measure dynamic contact angle by increasing and decreasing droplet method.
Continuous injection function: continuous push injection.
Continuous sample withdrawal function: continuous withdrawal of liquid.
The speed of sample injection and sample withdrawal is adjustable.
The sampler calibration function is used to calibrate the accuracy of quantitative sample injection and sample withdrawal.
Video processing method
Preview in a small window, take pictures and analyze in a large window. The main interface of the software has a video display window, which is used to display the video captured by the camera or the video file played. Click the thumbnail after the photo is taken to enter the contact angle analysis interface or surface tension analysis interface, which is easy to operate.
Video recording and picture capture function. The test process can be recorded in real time, and the software can capture photos frame by frame after recording the video, which is convenient for capturing fast dynamic changes.
Single photo function. Capture and save the current screen displayed by the video, and display it in the main window as a thumbnail.
Continuous timing camera function, the Timer Setting can be adjusted arbitrarily. The interval time for taking pictures can be set, and the pictures will be taken automatically after reaching the interval time, which is convenient for analyzing the dynamic change process of contact angle and surface tension.
Document and picture management
It is possible to save a single image and select the analysis tools displayed on the image.
All test data and pictures can be saved as a whole.
