Introduction

Qi WeiPHS-3CBThe pH meter (benchtop precision type) has a white backlight and can display the pH value or potential mV value at the same time. It is suitable for laboratory sampling and determination of the pH value and potential (mV) value of aqueous U solution in colleges and universities, research institutes, environmental monitoring, industrial and mining enterprises and other departments.PHS-3CBThe PH meter contains a battery.

Product principle

PHS-3CB PH meterThe sensor (pH composite electrode) converts the activity of hydrogen ions in the aqueous solution into electrical energy, which is input to the instrument, and converted into digital display through A/D after op amp and current detection. The above electrical energy conforms to the Nernst equation.

(5) Do not be disturbed by large vibration and strong electromagnetic field.

Components & Functions

Positioning knob: Adjust the value of the pH 6.86 standard buffer according to the corresponding temperature during calibration.

Temperature knob: set the temperature value of the solution to be measured.

Slope knob: Adjust the value of the pH 4.00 or pH 9.18 standard buffer according to the corresponding temperature during calibration.

Electrode socket: connect to pH composite electrode (connection model: Q9)

pH/mV Transfer Switch: Choose to measure pH or mV

Power Switch: Turn the instrument on or off

Power outlet: Connect a regulated power adapter, or power cord

pH meter calibration method

1、PHS-3CB The pH meter is plugged into the electrode, and the switch is selected to set the pH level. The positioning adjuster and slope adjuster are placed in the middle position. The regulator is turned to the corresponding calibration solution temperature.

2、Wash with distilled water and spin dryAfter the electrode, put in the first buffer solution pH = 6.86, stir it to make full contact, and after the reading is stable, adjust the positioning regulator to make the reading the pH value at the corresponding temperature of the buffer solution.

3、Wash with distilled water and spin dryAfter the electrode, put in the first buffer solution pH = 4.00 (or PH9.18), stir it to make full contact, and after the reading is stable, adjust the positioning regulator to make the reading this bufferThe pH of the solution at the corresponding temperature.

Concentrate:PHS-3CB After the PH meter is calibrated, the regulators will not be changed, otherwise they will need to be recalibrated. The calibration frequency can be kept once a day.

How to use:

1. Prepare before use

(1) Install the electrode holder, which can be installed in the round hole groove on the left or right.

(2) Unplug the Q9 protective plug, insert the compound electrode into the electrode socket, and place the electrode on the electrode holder.

(3) Plug in the power, turn on the switch, and use the pH meter after a few minutes of warm-up.

2. Measure the pH value

(1) When the temperature of the measured solution and the calibration solution are the same. The electrode is inserted into the solution to be measured, stirred to make it fully contacted, and the pH value of the solution is read after the reading is stable.

（2）When the temperature of the measured solution and the calibration solution are not the same. First, use a thermometer to measure the temperature value of the measured solution, and adjust the temperature regulator to place it on the temperature value.The electrode is inserted into the solution to be measured, stirred to make it fully contacted, and the pH value of the solution is read after the reading is stable.

3. Measure electrode potential (mV value)

(1) Connect the corresponding ion selection electrode first;

(2) The electrode is cleaned with distilled water and blotted dry with filter paper;

（3）The electrode is inserted into the solution to be measured, stirred to make it fully contacted, and the pH value of the solution is read after the reading is stable.

Precautions for use

1. The sensitive glass bubble in the electrode plastic protective grid is not in contact with hard objects, and any damage and rubbing will make the electrode invalid.

2. After the measurement, the electrode protective cap should be put on, and a small amount of supplementary liquid should be placed in the cap to keep the electrode bulb moist. THE REPLENISHMENT SOLUTION OF THE COMPOSITE ELECTRODE IS 3MOL/L POTASSIUM CHLORIDE SOLUTION.

3. The Q9 plug of the electrode needs to be kept clean and dry.

4. Avoid long-term immersion of the electrode in distilled water or protein solution and acidic fluoride solution, and prevent contact with silicone grease.

5、PHS-3CB PH meterAfter long-term use, if the gradient is slightly reduced, the lower end of the electrode can be soaked in 4% HF (hydrofluoric acid) for 3-5 seconds and washed with distilled water. It is then soaked in potassium chloride solution to reinvigorate.

6. If the measured solution contains substances that are easy to contaminate the sensitive bubble or block the liquid junction, and the electrode is passivated, the phenomenon is that the sensitivity gradient decreases, or the reading is inaccurate. In this case, according to the nature of the contaminant, it should be cleaned with an appropriate solution to renew it.

Note: When choosing a cleaning agent, do not use reagents that dissolve polycarbonate resin, such as carbon tetrachloride, trichloroethylene, tetrahydrofuran, etc., otherwise the electrode will fail, please use with caution!
