Imprinting bed technical parameters

Advantages of imprinting bed

The RK imprint bed consists of clamps, a rigid polyester board and a layer of foam/rubber cushioning. Compared with proofing directly on hard substrates, proofing on the RK printing bed has better repeatability and proofing effects. This is because the soft foam/rubber pad can absorb the pressure exerted by the operator on proofing to a certain extent, resulting in better proofing results.    

Application

For research, testing and quality control, used in the testing of inks, coatings, adhesives and various emulsions. Applicable substrates for RK color sticks include paper, cardboard, plastic film, metal foil, etc.

Impression bed operation

1. First prepare a substrate of appropriate size for proofing.

RK Company can provide two types of proofing paper for proofing (500 sheets per package, half of the proofing paper is coated with varnish, and the other half is without varnish)

■ For small imprinting beds, the specification is 12×21cm

■ For large imprinting beds, the specification is 18×31cm

2. Place the substrate on the imprinting bed and clamp it with clamps.

3. Select a suitable model of coating stick (please refer to relevant information) and place it on the imprinting bed close to the clamp.

4. Place the paint or varnish used for proofing close to the clamp, about 1cm below the coating stick. (Please control the dosage yourself)

5. Hold both ends of the coating rod with both hands and pull the rod toward the operator at a constant speed and pressure. Please be careful not to rotate the rod during operation.

6. After proofing, put the coating stick into a suitable solvent, clean it, and wipe it dry with a cloth. Please note that the wire rod should always be kept dry
