**Automated contact angle analysis
Using machine vision technology, the baseline and droplet contours are automatically identified, and the quadratic curve fitting calculation is carried out based on the Laplace equation to obtain the contact angle value. The effect of gravity on the shape of the droplet is reduced, and the human test error is eliminated. Fully automatic testing can be achieved for images with obvious baseline features, and the baseline position needs to be manually specified for images with obvious baseline features.
Test methodology
1. Static drip method
Drop a drop of liquid on the solid surface, take a picture of the equilibrium system after the solid-liquid-gas three-phase interface is balanced, and measure the contact angle through the contact angle measurement method provided by the software. The balancing process can also be photographed or videotaped regularly during the test, and then the system change process can be analyzed.
2. Increase and decrease droplet method
Due to the existence of inhomogeneity on the solid surface, it is sometimes necessary to measure the dynamic contact angle to analyze the hysteresis phenomenon of the contact angle, and this instrument can measure the forward angle by continuously increasing the droplet volume or continuously decreasing the droplet volume to measure the backward angle.

**Automated analysis method:
For most pictures, one-click result analysis can be realized, using computer vision analysis technology, quadratic curve fitting method, automatic measurement and calculation of results. For a small number of images with inconspicuous baseline characteristics, the baseline method is manually specified and automatically measured. The display accuracy is 0.1°. This method basically overcomes the influence of gravity on the shape of droplets, improves the test accuracy, and eliminates human error.
The tangent method measurement method is measured by manually drawing the baseline and arc tangents, which is suitable for images with severe asymmetry, and is analyzed manually, with a display accuracy of 0.1°.
