First, the use:

The putty scraper is designed and manufactured according to the coating and scraping method in GB1727 "General Preparation Method for Paint Film". The putty coating scraper is suitable for uniformly preparing putty coating film and thick paint coating film on various substrates (tinplate plate, steel plate, aluminum plate) in order to determine the general performance of the paint film.

Second, the structure and working principle:

1. Structure:

The putty scraper consists of a base plate, a membrane frame and a scraper. There are two fixing screws on the base plate to fix the film frame to prepare the coating film.

2. Working principle:

After fixing the film frame on the bottom plate, use a scraper to scrape the test piece to obtain a uniform putty film thickness. The standard template of putty scraper has three different thicknesses (1±0.05 0.7± 0.035 0.5±0.03) according to the requirements of product standards.

3. Operation and use:

1. Surface treatment of the bottom plate:

The tinplate or steel plate should be first polished with No. 0 abrasive cloth or No. 200 water sandpaper, polished with a plate playing machine or manually along the longitudinal reciprocating length, and the tin plating layer should be removed, and then cleaned with solvent (No. 200 paint, solvent oil or xylene) and then wiped clean for use. The aluminum plate is cleaned with solvent and dried for use.

2. Place the test plate on the base of the putty scraper, select the standard film frame according to the thickness of the putty required by the product standard and place it on it, and then rotate two hold-down screws respectively to press the standard template.

3. Use a metal scraper to evenly scrape the putty on the substrate from front to back to make it a smooth putty coating film.

4. Loosen the compression nut, remove the standard template, and put the scraped putty sample flat in a constant temperature and humidity place or in a Forced Air Drying Oven to dry (the drying conditions are specified in the product standard) Constant temperature and humidity conditions: temperature 25±1 °C, Relative Humidity 65±5%.

4. Maintenance, correction and storage:

The instrument should be placed in a dry place to prevent corrosion and damage to the instrument.

If the instrument meets the storage conditions and is used normally, the "three guarantees" will be implemented if it is damaged, and the warranty will be free for one year.

5. Standard Template:

Because the metal scraper is scraped on the standard template for a long time, resulting in wear and tear, resulting in changes in thickness, please regularly calibrate the thickness of the standard film frame, if it exceeds its tolerance requirements, it should be replaced, do not apply protective oil for a long time to prevent corrosion, and clean it with gasoline or solvent after use.
