The use of this instrument can be convenient and comprehensive evaluation of the physical characteristics of the coating film strength, hardness, adhesion and so on, so the purpose of this instrument is to characterize the strength of the coating, hardness and adhesion of the coating by the size of the penetration resistance of the paint film sample coating when it is scratched by the needle.

This instrument is a special equipment developed for the implementation of GB9279-88, which is the condition for the implementation of the national standard.

How the instrument works

This instrument is mainly composed of a needle holder and a workbench, and the needle on the needle holder ensures that it acts vertically on the coating film template (the model is fixed on the laboratory table on the workbench and can be moved horizontally or longitudinally; Lateral movement can be motorized or manual after the power is turned off, and longitudinal movement can be manual).

After the power is turned on, the red indicator light of the power switch indicates that the instrument is powered on. At this time, if the return switch is in the experimental state, the workbench moves from right to left, and the needle contacts the model during the "experiment" stroke; In the return stroke (the return switch is dialed back to the "return" state), the worktable moves from left to right, the scribing needle is lifted without touching the model, and the weight added on the scribing holder is changed, and the paint film can be measured whether it can be cut under different weights, and the minimum weight required to cut the paint film is used to judge the value of the scratch resistance of the coating film.
