QTY-32 Cylindrical Flexure Tester

By bending the coated metal substrate at a set radius, the ductility and adhesion index of the paint film under bending stress can be obtained.

The flexometer is a simple and fast way to determine the elasticity of a coating by simply bending the coating plate on a circular shaft of known diameter.

Then check the layer for cracking, peeling, or other damage.

Made of anodized aluminum

There are 12 stainless steel shaft rods

Panels up to 50 mm wide can be measured

Bar diameter: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20, 25, 32 mm

Procedure

The paint is applied to the metal substrate

Carefully coat the film and bake it dry to ensure good reproducibility

During the experiment, bend the test substrate to 180° evenly and forcefully within 1-2 seconds

Starting with the largest diameter shaft rod, the decreasing diameter is tested until the coating breakage is visible
