Applications

Apiezon QVacuum sealantIt can be used to seal the edges of unground joints, temporarily seal equipment parts and glass measuring cylinders or metal plates, and create a temporary vacuum sealing environment.

Cleaning method

Any residue can be washed away with warm soapy water and any aromatic hydrocarbon solutions (toluene, xylene) or chlorinated hydrocarbons (trichloroethylene), and can also be removed using a steam degreasing bath.

Because Apiezon Sealant Q is insoluble in alcohol (ethanol, isopropanol) or ketones (acetone, butanone), it cannot be cleaned with this substance.

Shelf life

Apiezon Sealant Q has a shelf life of 10 years from the date of manufacture when stored unopened in its original packaging and stored at ambient temperature.
