Elcometer 1800/5 Stainless Steel Specific Gravity Cup

This product is a precision instrument made of stainless steel that is used to measure the specific gravity or density of paint or similar products.

The instrument consists of a cylindrical container with an overflow lid for draining excess test liquid.

How to use the density cup

• Weigh the cup when it is empty

• Infuse liquids

• Cover the lid*

• Weigh the cup after it is full

• Divide the weight by the volume/volume to calculate the specific gravity

* Each cup has an overflow hole in the lid to allow excess liquid to escape. All excess liquid should be removed before weighing.
