Introduction

· Ideal for gloss measurement on a wide variety of flat or curved surfaces, such as coatings, ceramics, varnishes, mirrors, and paper. A wide variety of shapes, large and small, can be measured with this benchtop gloss meter.

· For measurement purposes, the operator platform allows large components to be accurately mounted on the gloss meter, and the optional foot switch allows both hands to manipulate the sample freely. By using the batch coding provided by the platform, small samples can be accurately placed on the measuring wells.

· Gloss measurements, together with all statistics, are displayed entirely on the LCD screen, which can be imported directly into the printer.

· This useful tool allows users to compare measurements between different products or at different times.

Features

· Easy to operate - all operating information can be displayed on the screen.

· Calibration is automated in less than two seconds.

· The standard plate is embedded in an aluminium protective sleeve on the gloss meter test platform. When the instrument is not in use, it prevents dust from entering the inside of the instrument.

· General coatings and mirror-polished surfaces can be measured at 60° with a range of 0-1000 gloss units (only suitable for 157/60 and 157/SO types).

· The LCD display clearly displays the readings, statistics, and calibration program status.

· The memory saves the last reading and statistics after the automatic shutdown, and the last reading will be displayed when the instrument is turned back on.

· Up to 4000 readings can be stored.

· The instrument is powered by a rechargeable battery.

· In order to protect battery life, the gloss meter will automatically shut down when it is not operated for 20 seconds or when it is charged.

· The background light only turns on for 1 second at the same time as a reading is taken, which prolongs the life of the lamp.

· Batch guides are very useful when placing test samples in sequence.

· The RS232 interface makes it easy to transfer information in ASCII format to any printer or computer.

· Built-in English and French operating languages.

· If the sample is controlled with two hands, the foot switch can easily complete the operation of the gloss meter.

· There is a very useful set of tools in the standard configuration of Ref.157/SO (Ref. 157/60, 20-60 & 75° are also available).
