GB/T 8753.3-2005 provides an admittance method for the determination of the sealing mass of anodic oxide coatings for aluminum and aluminum alloys. It is suitable for anodic oxide coatings with film thickness greater than 3mm and sealed in aqueous solution. It can be used regardless of hot sealing or cold sealing. This method indirectly judges the sealing mass of oxide films by measuring their electrical insulation, which belongs to fast nondestructive detection technology. The standard is proposed by the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and is centralized by the National Nonferrous Metals Standardization Technical Committee. It can be used as the basis for product quality control or acceptance by both supply and demand.
