GB/T 14004-1992 stipulates the general requirements, mass assessment regulations and test methods for metallized carbonic acid ester film dielectric DC fixed capacitors, which are applicable to such capacitors used in electronic equipment. The standard specifies the performance grades of capacitors, which are divided into level 1 for long life and level 2 for general use, and specifies their "self-healing characteristics" and application scenarios. The standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Resistance-capacitance Components for Electronic Equipment, and the competent department is the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (Electronics). It was issued on December 17, 1992 and implemented on August 1, 1993.
