TIS 1136-2536 (1993) Plastic wrap standard Introduction TIS 1136-2536 (1993) is a standard on plastic wrap (stretch film) for food issued by the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI). The standard specifies the type, dimensions, tolerances, materials, performance requirements, Encasement, signs and labels of plastic wrap. It applies to plastic wrap made of materials such as polyethylene (PE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polyvinylidene chloride, but does not include stretch plastic wrap used in automatic machines. The standard aims to ensure the safety and mass of plastic wrap and protect consumer health.
