ASTM D5478-2013 (2018) Standard Test Method for Viscosity of Materials with a Drop-Pin Viscosity meter is a standard developed by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) for the measurement of viscosity in Newtonian and non-newtonian fluids. This method is suitable for liquids with a viscosity range of 5 x 10 Pa seconds to 10 ³ Pa seconds (0.5 cps to 10 cps) and a shear rate range of 10 s ¬ to 10 ³ s ¬.
