The standard describes the use of three reflection meter geometries of 20 °, 60 ° or 85 ° to assess the surface gloss of furniture surfaces. The test is intended to be carried out on finished furniture, but can also be carried out on test samples of the same material, with the same finish. Not applicable to coatings on certain metallic paints and mother-of-pearl coatings.
