The use of three reflection meter geometries of 20 °, 60 ° or 85 ° is described to assess the surface gloss of furniture surfaces. The test is intended to be carried out on finished furniture, but can also be carried out on test templates of the same material, with the same finish. Not suitable for coatings on certain metallic paints and mother-of-pearl coatings.
