The BS EN 13722-2004 standard specifies the method of assessing the surface gloss of furniture. It applies to hard surfaces of furniture made of various materials, excluding leather and fabric surfaces. The standard describes the measurement of specular gloss of furniture surfaces using three different reflectometer geometries of 20 °, 60 ° or 85 °. The test is intended to be carried out on finished furniture, but can also be carried out on test samples of the same material, the same way of finishing. Not suitable for surfaces of certain metallic paints and pearl coatings.
