The BS EN 12721-2009 + A1-2013 standard specifies a method for assessing the resistance to heat and humidity of all rigid furniture surfaces, not applicable to leather and Spinning & weaving surfaces. Testing is intended to be carried out on parts of finished furniture, but may also be carried out on test panels of the same material, provided that these panels are finished in the same manner as the finished product and are sufficiently sized to meet the test requirements. Testing should be carried out on unused surfaces to assess the resistance of furniture surfaces to heat and humidity.
