CB 1146.13-1985 "Marine equipment environmental test method, test Kb: alternating salt fog" specifies the salt spray test conditions and requirements for marine equipment. The test shall comply with the general principles of CB1146.1-85 and ensure that the materials in the test chamber can withstand salt fog corrosion without affecting the test results. The test chamber shall provide standard conditions, including drainage system, display meters and pressure equilibrating measures. The sprayer shall be able to evenly wetting the sample, and the sprayed salt fog shall not contain oil or Miscellaneous impurities, and shall not be used with repeability.
