This standard specifies the method for the determination of formaldehyde content in Spinning & weaving products without damage. It is applicable to the determination of formaldehyde in all Spinning & weaving products. The principle of the method is to place the test sample in a volatile gas collector with a drum, sealing and heating. Under constant temperature conditions, the volatile formaldehyde in the sample is extracted by a vacuum pump, absorbed by the aqueous solution of the gas collector, and then colored with acetylacetone. Finally, the formaldehyde content is determined by a spectrophotometer. All reagents are analytically pure, and the water quality meets the third-level water standard stipulated in GB/T 6682.
