This standard specifies test procedures and quantitative evaluation methods for the migration of pigments from chromadizing plasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) (PVC-P) plates to the same white materials in contact with them. It applies to the determination of the migration of pigments from Miscellaneous polymer materials to white plasticized polyvinyl gas. Excludes the test of pigment floating color. Terms include floating color (the deposition of colorant on the surface of a film) and bleeding (the diffusion process by which colorant enters and penetrates the polymer).
