This standard describes the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, Encasement, transport and storage of non-pigment type inks for fountain pens and dip pens. It applies to ferric tannate type and dyestuff type inks used for fountain pens and dip pens. Necessary normative reference documents are included in the standard, such as Encasement Storage and Transportation Illustration Mark, Method for Determination of Paper Sizing Degree, Method for Determination of Dust Degree of Drawing Paper, Paper and Cardboard, etc. Inks are classified according to Color, Performance and Use, such as Blue Black Ink, Pure Blue Ink, Black Ink, Red Ink, Premium Ink, Normal Ink, General Writing Ink and Document Writing Ink. The standard also lists the physical and chemical performance requirements for general writing inks.
