This standard covers all aspects of periodic wetting corrosion testing, including test equipment, solutions, conditions, methods, evaluation of results and test reports. It is applicable to the evaluation of atmospheric corrosion resistance of weathering steels for railways and their welding materials. The only standard cited is HG3-1291, which relates to the chemical reagent sodium bisulfite. For test equipment, FL-65 type periodic wetting corrosion tester or similar equipment is used, and its structural schematic diagram is shown in Figure 1.
