This standard specifies a method for determining the impermeable water resistance of coated fabrics when hydrostatic pressure is applied. For coated fabrics, Miscellaneous waterproof fabrics can be referred to for implementation. The principle is that under specified conditions, one side of the coated fabric sample to be tested is subjected to continuously rising water pressure until the specified water pressure value is reached. Observe whether penetration occurs or continue to apply pressure until penetration occurs for a specified time. The required instrument is an open container with a sample holding device, and the hydrostatic pressure can be measured using a pressure scale or a pressure gauge. The test area is 100cm ², and a soft rubber gasket or a crosslinking polyethylene (PE) foam sealing gasket can be used between the sample and the holder.
