This standard specifies the method of preparing samples for routine analysis and the method of determining the moisture of the samples, namely the oven method. It applies to the determination of moisture in Tobacco and Tobacco products. The standards cited include "Cigarette Sampling" and "General Principles for Tobacco Batch Sampling". The principle of this method is that Tobacco or Tobacco products are dried at low temperature, ground into smoke of a certain particle size, dried under certain conditions, and the Moisture content of the sample is calculated by the mass difference before and after drying. The required equipment includes oven, pulverizer, sieve, silicone dryer, weighing dish and wide-mouth bottle. When sampling, tobacco leaves and cigarettes were extracted in accordance with the General Principles of Tobacco Batch sampling and the provisions of Cigarette Sampling.
