If the mixture is capable of combustion in the presence of the reference material ethane, it indicates that the gas has stronger oxidation than air; if combustion is not possible, no combustion is seen even when the ethane concentration reaches MAX Maximum, indicating that the oxidation of the gas is weaker than air.
