It is suitable for viscosity determination in the range of 525Pa shear stress and shear rate of 0.4s ¬ to 15s ¬. For used diesel engine oils, the suitability and accuracy for Miscellaneous oils have not been determined. Viscosity units are expressed in milliPa · s. Users should establish safety measures and refer to normative reference documents before use. The viscosity measured by this method is called apparent viscosity, while the viscosity of Newtonian oils or fluids remains constant at any shear rate or shear stress.
