This part of the standard specifies methods for determining the thickness of rubber or plastic coated fabrics at specified pressures. Applicable to single-top coated, double-top coated and laminated double-structure coated fabrics, as well as coated fabrics with expanded layer material sandwiched in the coating layer. The standard refers to the provisions of GB/T 24133-2009 on the standard environment for rubber or plastic coated fabrics. Among them, terms and definitions include thickness and effective width. Thickness refers to the distance between the front and back of the coated fabric, while effective width refers to the width of the coated fabric excluding the cloth edge. Within this width, the performance of the coated fabric is consistent, the surface is uniform, and there are no unacceptable defects. The instruments required for the test include a Thickness Gauge and a circular presser foot, which should be able to apply the specified pressure.
