YS/T 5226-2016 "Water Quality Analysis Regulations" is a revised standard according to the requirements of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and is jointly completed by China Nonferrous Metals Changsha Survey and Design Research Institute Co., Ltd. and other units. This regulation is divided into 70 chapters and 5 appendices, covering the general principles of water quality analysis, terms and symbols, instruments and equipment and reagents, water sample collection and preservation, quality control of water quality analysis, etc. The revision adds a number of test items and methods, such as water temperature, chemical oxygen demand (COD), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), etc., as well as new analytical technologies such as Ion chromatography and plasma Mass spectrometry. This regulation strictly stipulates the use of toxic and harmful reagents such as concentrated acids and concentrated alkalis, and proposes new testing requirements such as water quality analysis reports.
