Standard HJ 1288-2023 details the method for the determination of acrylic acid in water using Ion chromatography. The method is suitable for surface water, groundwater, domestic sewage and industrial wastewater samples. When the injection volume is 25 μl, the detection limit is 0.08 mg/L and the lower limit of determination is 0.32 mg/L. During the analysis, the samples are separated by anion Chromatography Column, qualitative by Conductivity Detector Detector, and quantified by external standard method. The standard also mentions interfering substances that may affect the accuracy of the analysis, such as metal ions, chloride ions, sulfate ions, and hydrophobic organic matter.
