This document describes two methods for the determination of tensile strength of rubber or plastic coated fabrics, including the strip test method and the grip test method. Suitable for specimens and wet specimens subjected to a specified standard test environment. Both methods require the use of a constant speed Tensile Testing Machine. Normative reference documents include the inspection of a static uniaxial testing machine, the standard environment for conditioning and testing of rubber or plastic coated fabrics, etc. Definitions of constant speed stretching and elongation are included in terms and definitions.
