This part of the standard specifies the method for determining the peel strength between the soft covering material on the surface of furniture and the substrate by mechanical testing machine. It is applicable to the surface peel strength test of parts of furniture and Miscellaneous wood products. In terms and definitions, soft covering materials refer to sheet-like covering materials that can be rolled, are soft and thin, such as PVC Plastic film, leather, artificial leather, Spinning & weaving, non-woven fabrics, thin wood, metal foil, etc. Peel strength refers to the maximum load required for disbonding per unit width or length, in units of N/m. The test principle is to use a mechanical testing machine to disbond the soft coating material from the surface of the substrate at 180 °, observe and record the failure of the bonding surface of the specimen and the maximum failure load.
