GB/T 11047.3-2024 "Spinning & weaving products, Testing and evaluation of the stringing performance of fabrics, Part 3: Knitted drum method" describes in detail the method and evaluation criteria for evaluating the stringing performance of fabrics using the knitted drum method. This standard applies to the stringing performance testing of woven and knitted fabrics, but does not include fabrics with mesh structures, tufted fabrics and nonwovens. Stringing refers to defects on the surface of fabrics due to fibers or yarns being hooked by sharp objects, which may take the form of coils, bundles of fibers or tight segments.
