GB/T 43658.2-2024 "Nondestructive testing, pipeline corrosion and sediment X and gamma ray testing, Part 2: Double-wall radiation testing" specifies the technical requirements for the detection of pipeline corrosion and sediment using X-Rays and gamma rays. The standard describes in detail the double-wall radiation detection technology, including double-wall single shadow technology (DWSI) and double-wall double shadow technology (DWDI), suitable for the detection of defects such as point corrosion, planar corrosion and erosion caused by the service of steel pipes. The standard emphasizes the basic theoretical and experimental foundations of detection technology and applies to in-service double-wall radiographic detection technologies, including industrial film radiography, computerized radiography (CR), and digital array detectors (DDA).
