GB/T 6498-2024 "Test Method for Macron Value of Cotton Fibers" The national standard specifies a method for the measurement of the Macron value of a certain amount of loose and irregular arrangement cotton fibers. It is suitable for the detection of the Macron value of cotton fibers from lint cotton such as cotton bales, rolls, and strips. It is an important parameter for measuring the maturity and quality of cotton fibers. The new standard was released on March 15, 2024 and will be implemented on October 1, 2024. It replaces GB/T 6498-2008 and has guiding significance for cotton trade, processing, and quality control.
