The JJF 1224-2009 standard is for calibrating steel protective layer thickness measurement instruments and floor thickness measurement instruments. This specification describes the working principle and calibration method of both instruments to ensure their measurement accuracy. Steel protective layer thickness measurement instruments use electromagnetic principles to nondestructive detect the thickness of steel protective layers and the distribution of steel bars; floor thickness measurement instruments transmit and receive electromagnetic signals to measure the actual thickness of the floor. The cited literature includes general measurement terminology, measurement uncertainty assessment, and specifications for the evaluation of the characteristics of measuring instruments to ensure the accuracy and standardization of calibrating work.
