"GB/T 43905.5-2024 Laboratory methods for soot and gas sampling in welding and related processes, Part 5: Identification of thermal degradation of organic materials in welding or cutting based on pyrolysis-gas chromatograph-Mass spectrometry" specifies laboratory methods for the identification and semi-quantitative measurement of thermal degradation generated during welding, cutting, preheating and correction of coated metals. The standard specifies requirements for procedures, data use and test reports, and applies to the identification and semi-quantitative measurement of undefined product components generated by thermal degradation of coatings composed wholly or partially of organic materials during thermal processing.
