      The HG/T 2957.9-2004 standard specifies a method for the determination of silica content in alum ore by weight method, which is suitable for alum ore products with a silica content greater than 10%. This method uses perchloric acid analysis samples and hydrofluoric acid treatment of the dissolved residue to allow the silicon to escape in the form of silicon tetrafluoride, and calculates the silica content according to the mass reduction.
