GB 30000.1-2024 "Specification for Classification and Labelling of Chemicals, Part 1: General Principles" is an update to GB 13690-2009, which aims to standardize the classification and labelling requirements of chemicals. The standard defines in detail the general requirements for classification terms, hazard classification, labelling preparation and safety technical specifications of chemicals. It is applicable to the classification and publicity of chemicals according to the United Nations "Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals" (GHS), but it is not applicable to specific chemicals such as pharmaceuticals, food additives, cosmetics, etc. In the process of chemical classification, the standard covers the three categories of physical hazards, health hazards and environmental hazards, and provides corresponding labeling element requirements to ensure the safety of chemicals during transportation and use.
